Lambretta.ca – Scooter Weblog

This is a quick update.  We are on the last weekend before the Niagara rally.  Friday night we put in a few hours and called it an early night so we could start early today.  This morning turned out to be another challenging build day.  I got up at 7:30 a.m., went to the garage to unload the parts to work on before the guys got here.  The forecast called for rain in the afternoon, so we tried to get in a full morning of work.  Yeah right.

9:00 a.m. rain..rain..then hail.  All the parts were soaked, so I spent the next couple of hours trying to dry them.  One think I managed to get done in the a.m. was to renew my sticker an update my ownership. 

By the time the crew got here is was just a comedy of errors.  The forecast was all over the place and we got the short end of the stick.  Rain part in, no rain parts out, back and forth a few times.  We were about to call the whole day a write off until after the last downpour the sun came out.  Up till then spirits were really low.  Now we have a burst of renewed energy.  I popped in now just for an update.
